The first 1.5 GPa Gipa Steel® cold stamped part in China has been successfully test punched. Gipa Steel® HC1000/1470DP, one of Baosteel's world premiere products, is the highest strength dual-phase steel series at present, and the strength grade has been increased by 10% to 30% compared with ultra-high strength dual-phase steels such as 1180DP and 1310DP. This product fills the product gap of domestic cold-formed automotive plates in this strength level, with high elongation, good bending performance, excellent welding performance, and low risk of delayed cracking features.
Car companies, stamping plants, mould mills and steel mills collaborate to get through every linkes of whole industry chain of 1.5GPa Gipa steel cold pressed parts. The quality lightweighting and low-carbon steel will take great role to the green development in automotive industry.
