1.In 2023, the high-end development of special steel industry products accelerated, and the industry pattern realised significant adjustment.
China Special Steel Enterprise Association statistics show that in 2023, China's crude steel output of special steel increased slightly by 1.7% year-on-year, of which the output of special quality alloy steel rose by 3.2% year-on-year, and the output of key varieties of special steel rose by 5.8% year-on-year, with the domestic special steel products developing towards high-end and alloying. From the product side, the output of special steel bars, wires, plates and tubes are all on the rise.
2. The first (automotive) special steel product category rules (PCR) of the global special steel industry was officially released.
On 30 August 2023, under the support of China Iron and Steel Industry Association (CISIA), CITIC Pacific Special Steel Group, organised by China Special Steel Enterprises Association (CSEA), took the lead in compiling the first PCR of (automotive) special steel in the global special steel industry which was formally released, marking the official launch of China's first green and low-carbon evaluation standard for special steel.
3. Xingcheng Special Steel became the first "lighthouse factory" in the global special steel industry.
On 14 December 2023, the World Economic Forum announced the latest batch of "lighthouse factories", CITIC Pacific Special Steel (Xingcheng Special Steel), as the only representative of China's iron and steel industry, was successfully selected as the first "lighthouse factory" in the global special steel industry.
4.Fushun Special Steel Became the Main Supplier of China Aerospace Development Commercial Engine
On 3 November 2023, 17 series of Fushun Special Steel's high temperature alloys, high strength steels and special stainless steel products passed the product certification of CAF Commercial Aero-engine Co.
5.China Special Steel Enterprises Association carbon credit group standard work results landed, Jiyuan Iron and Steel has become China's special steel industry, the first to obtain the bank's green capital support enterprises
6. Baowu Special Metallurgy developed key strategic new steel materials to help China independently develop super large force value sensors and 100MN standard force measuring machine.
The key strategic new steel material required for the project - large ultra-high strength stainless steel forgings - was developed by Baowu Special Metallurgy and used in the manufacture of the main elastic element of the ultra-high force sensor of the project.
7. The key technology of 18Ni ultra-high-strength steel for aerospace developed by Panchangte reaches the international advanced level.
8. TISCO 1000 MPa ultra-high-strength magnetic yoke steel plate made its global debut.
9. WISCO developed 390mm thick tempered steel 20MnNiMo to fill the gap in China.
10.Tianjin Steel Pipe independently developed high-end pipeline products for national major energy projects.
